I’ll get around to it later… Book Tag!!!

Hi, today I’m going to be doing this book tag. I saw this post on I have 12% of a plan by Diamond and it looked like so much fun, I just had to do it. Thank you Diamond and here is the link to her post.

Time for another bookish post!

The Rules

Link back to the original post at Quote,Unquote so the creator can read your answers.

Link back to the post of the person who tagged you and thank them.

You may use the included graphic anywhere in your post but you don’t have to.

Fill all 7 categories.

You can either leave this tag upon so anyone can do it or tag up to 7 people.

The Categories

1. A classic book you have been meaning to read forever but haven’t yet.

I just can’t bring myself to read it.

2. A book on your shelf that you haven’t read yet.

Think I got this about a year ago.

3. A book that you got recently but you haven’t read.

Over the summer holidays! They are nearly here, only like a month and a half to go.

4. A book that you’ve had forever but haven’t read.

Maybe 3,4 years?!

Its this book series by Chris Ryan and my friend loves them.

6. A book you are procrastinating on.

Jane Eyre😥

7. The next book on your TBR (to be read).

I am not sure if this counts as I’ve already read it buuuuuut I’m planning on reading it next.

I am leaving this tag open for anyone who wants to do it! Let me know if you do it!

That post was a lot of fun! I hope you enjoyed this post, something a bit different as I don’t normally do tags. Remember to check out the original post and Diamond’s post.

The Yearbook by Holly Bourne – Review!!!

Hiiiiiiiiii,

Today I thought I would do a review of the yearbook by Holly Bourne. There is actually a whole books category on my blog if you want to see more bookish posts!

My summary:

So there is this girl called Paige Vickers. She has always kept her head down basically invisible throughout high school. She also has a difficult home life, which makes her stressed out. However now halfway through year 11 she finds love through the pages of a book, she starts to find Paige again. And Paige is most likely to take down the mean girls.

Official ratings:

Waterstones: 5 stars

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Goodreads: 4.3 stars

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Amazon: 4.5 stars

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

Soooooooo, pretty good official ratings!

Now, time for my review:

So , I like the book. It keeps you engaged , it doesn’t drag on but I wouldn’t say that it is out of this world. Its not one of those books that makes me remember it and makes me think I am definitely reading this again in a few months. So its a good book, its just not GREAT.

My rating:

Rating: 3.5 out of 5.

So that’s the end of the post! I hope you enjoyed this post, I haven’t done a review in AGES so I am not completely sure if I did it right.

But bye for now anyways,

Ordinary Fab Girl

Books you should read NOW!

Ok, no joke, you need to read these books ASAP.

Hi! Welcome back or to my blog Ordinary Fab Girl. Today I’m going to be talking about my favourite books which I have read recently!

1. Everless/Evermore.

Ok so this is a 2 book series, and it’s so good! The plot sounds quite unusual but trust me you will get HOOKED on this book.

If you want to know what this books about, google it as I don’t really know how to explain the plot.

2. Boy 87

So this is about a boy on his journey to flee Syria. He has to make hard choices along the way, he has to be brave and I so recommend it!!!!!!!!!

3. I know you did it

Ok, this is a murder mystery book! So it’s about this girl who accidentally killed someone when she was younger and when she moves to a new school to escape her past, people start dying and everyone blames her, while her past just seems to keep catching up with her.

Ok that’s it for today!

See you next time,

Ordinary Fab Girl 🤍

One by Sarah Crossan- Review!

Hi guys,

Today I’m going to be reviewing One by Sarah Crossan .

OFFICIAL REVIEWS:

Waterstones:

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Book trust:

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Summary:

Grace and Tippi aren’t normal twins. There conjoined twins. And they’ve survived 16 years. It’s a medical miracle. However when a family financial crisis means they have to stop being homeschooled and attend high school, all Tippi and Grace want is to not be seen as the same person, not be seen as freaks but as two different people. Can they survive high school and the huge decision that lies ahead, together…

*This is my summary, written by me so please do not copy it without my permission.

My review:

I think this is a truly emotional story, one that will wrench at your heartstrings and keep you gripped to the very last page. I cried with Grace and Tippi, and I laughed with them. Because Sarah Crossan has made these characters come to life in the pages of this book and Grace and Tippi aren’t characters you will forget easily.

My rating:

Rating: 4.5 out of 5.

That is it for this review!

Geek girl by Holly Smale- REVIEW

Hi guys, today I’m going to be rating geek girl by Holly Smale. I’m going to be rating it using stars and it will be out of 5 so if I put 4 stars, it means 4 out of 5. Understand? Good.😁😁😁

  1. Does it capture the reader the whole way through?

My Answer:****

It can sometimes get a tiny bit boring but the majority of the time it’s really interesting.

2. Is the main character interesting?

My answer: *****

Definitely 5 stars, Harriet is a really interesting character because sometimes she can be a bit selfish and it often takes her a while to catch on to people’s feelings.

3. Is there sequels and if so are they good?

My answer: Yes, there are definitely sequels and I might even like them more than the first one.😮😮😮

SPOILER ALERT!

The books about a girl called Harriet and she’s like really geeky and obsessed with books. Her best friend called Nat though is really stylish and wants to be a model and stuff. However a modelling agency spot Harriet (on the same day as Harriet was puked on and was hiding under a table) and really wanted her for their modelling agency. So she did it. But the point of the story is can she be transformed from geek to chic.

OVERALL RATING OF THE STORY:

5/5

Ok hoped you enjoyed this review. In no way to I mean to offend anyone in this blog, so please don’t take offence. It doesn’t matter if your geeky or your fashionable, all that matters is you love yourself for who you are.❤️❤️❤️

Over and out,

Ordinary Fab Girl 🤍

My top 5 reads for tweens

Hi guys and welcome back to my blog,

Today I will be sharing with you my top 5 reads. There all actually series so it’s more my top 5 series. All these series I love so much and I think you will too.

  1. The Harry Potter series by J.K Rowling.
I suspect you have heard of these but if you haven’t read them you HAVE too. They just can’t be beaten. They’re basically about witchcraft and wizardry.
  2. The Medusa Gene series by Sophie McKenzie.
These you are less likely to have heard of but they are equally as good. I’ve read them so many times I can’t even count them on both hands. They’re about these teenagers who are basically magic.
  3. The girl online series by Zoe Sugg.
You have to read these if you haven’t already. They’re about this blogger called penny who is very awkward and uncool…
  4. The mother daughter book club series by Heather Vogel Frederick
I’ve only actually read 2 of these but they were really good and I definitely recommend them. They are about 4 unlikely friends and their struggles in middle school.
  5. The geek girl series by Holly Smale.
First I need to thank the internet for helping me find them because these books are perfect. These have got everything in them. Geeks, models and crazy families. Need I say any more?
Thank you so much if you made it to the end I really appreciate it. Let me know in the comments if you have any more books which you recommend to me. I’d love to hear about them because I’m always looking for new books to read.
    With love, Ordinary Fab Girl🤍
